Howard and I will be covering a variety of topics including the latest on the Obamacare implementation and the resistance to the healthcare exchanges and medicaid expansion that are integral to the implementation of the health care reform law. Amanda Teegarden, Executive Director of OK-SAFE will join us to go over the Action Items for opposing Obamacare that were developed for the Rally for Oklahoma Healthcare Independence held last July following the mixed Supreme Court ruling on the federal health care reform law.

The roll out of Automatic License Plate Readers (ALPR) in the state of Oklahoma and the concerns that surround the use of these devices will also be covered.  ALPR can be a valuable tool for law enforcement or they can be mis-used to create a mass surveillance system that tracks our every move without a warrant or probable cause.  Unfortunately, there is ample evidence that they are being used in exactly this way.  Howard and I will explore what can be done to stop the unconstitutional uses of these license tag scanners.

We will also catch up with Dan Feidt, indy journalist and activist to find out what ever happened with the investigation into the wayward Drug Recognition Expert program in Minnesota that Dan helped uncover was giving drugs to Occupy protestors.

GOP officials express outrage over Whetsel, Courthouse Gang Ties

Oct. 15, 2012
What is the point of belonging to a political party?  Republicans host fundraiser for Democrat opponent of Republican OK County Sheriff’s candidate.

GOP officials express outrage over Whetsel, Courthouse Gang Ties
More than three dozen members of the Oklahoma County Republican Party County Committee are calling for the censure of Oklahoma County Commissioner Ray Vaughn, Oklahoma County Tax Assessor Leonard Sullivan, Oklahoma County Treasurer Butch Freeman, and Oklahoma County Court Clerk Carolyn Caudill. The Republicans in question were listed as Honorary Co-Hosts at a fundraiser held on Wednesday, October 10th, 2012, for Democratic Sheriff John Whetsel at the Oklahoma City Zoo. Among the concerns of the more than three dozen Precinct Chairs and Vice Chairs are:
Democratic Sheriff Whetsel is under investigation by both the OSBI and the FBI, according to local news reports (Fox 25 News). The investigation is centered on the use of inmates and county property to manufacture signs for the Democratic Sheriff’s re-election effort. This is obviously a serious abuse of power at best, and the violation of numerous felonies at worst. Every sign for the Democratic Sheriff Whetsel should bring to mind forced inmate labor at county facilities, working on his campaign, against their will.
Democratic Sheriff Whetsel has failed to fix the problems with the Oklahoma County Jail. After 16 years of his leadership the problems have deteriorated to the point that the Federal Government has removed all prisoners (Daily Oklahoma, 2008). The answer from the Democratic Sheriff – and these members of the Courthouse Gang – seems to be a $350 million replacement (OK Gazette) of a 21-year-old jail whose chief problem is management. Here’s another Daily Oklahoman article (2010) attempting to blame the statistics, rather than admit the problem.
The Republican Party has a strong, experienced nominee in Darrell Sorrels. He has 20 years of experience in law enforcement and is currently a special Deputy for the U.S. Marshall Service in the Western District of Oklahoma. Additionally, his strong advocacy of constitutional and conservative principles would be a dramatic improvement in the Sheriff’s office. To counter the actions of the Courthouse Gang, the Oklahoma County Republican Party should immediately contribute the maximum allowable by law to Republican Nominee Sorrels.
Finally, Rule 19 (G) 4 of the Rules of the Oklahoma Republican Partyallows for the removal of any “officer, committee member or delegate of any organization, committee, delegation or unit of the Republican Party” for “Publicly supporting or endorsing an opponent of candidates of the Republican Party”.
We call for the County Committee to be convened, with the express purpose of removing any and all party officials who have endorsed the Democratic Sheriff John Whetsel. We call on the County Committee to censure the “Courthouse Gang” for their unconscionable actions. We call on the Oklahoma County Republican Party to actively recruit replacements for these positions at the time of the next election to each respective office.

Officer Terrence Yeakey was a first responder on the scene of the OKC bombing.   His death in 1996 was quickly labeled a suicide without ever receiving any sort of a proper investigation.  The tragic loss of Terry Yeakey still haunts friends and family members to this day.  After hearing the details from Mr. Cooley, I think you will see why.

Another Narconon Patient Speaks Out

Kaye Beach

July 29, 2012

Poor training, deaths and patients are taught to order ashtrays around in this expensive Scientology based facility.

From Oklahoma’s News Channel 9.  July 26, 2012

July 26, 2012 – Former Narconon Patient Talks About Treatment Practices – OKLAHOMA CITY – As the investigation into a Scientology-run drug treatment center continues more people who attended the center are coming forward. The OSBI has now turned the results of its investigation into the recent death over to the District attorney in Pittsburg County. This, as News 9 is learning more about exactly what happens inside the facility. “It was a way to get you kind of weak and vulnerable and trust whatever they’re telling you,” said a former patient who asked not to be identified. “They’re kind of just people like me that have been through the program and decided to stay and work,”. The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse is also investigating the facility.

Guest co-host Craig Dawkins returns to the show tonight and we will be interviewing special guest Colin Henderson about the spate of deaths and dubious practices of the Scientology based drug rehabilitation facility, Narconon Arrowhead, located in Canadian Oklahoma

You can read his story here;

We covered Colin’s story over two years ago on AxXiom For Liberty.

What we learned then that is even more concerning now is how Narconon was permitted to operate  in the state even after the Oklahoma Board of Metal Health refused to approve the organization stating that, “No scientifically well-controlled independent, long-term outcome studies were found that directly and clearly establish the effectiveness of the Narconon program for the treatment of chemical dependency and the more credible evidence establishes Narconon’s program is not effective”

A review of the many articles published in the Newkirk Herald Journal beginning in the late 1980’s when Narconon first began to put down roots in Oklahoma, raises serious concerns about the process by which the organization gained approval to operate.

Originally Narconon was sited in Kay County on tribal property.

Tribal members contacted about the Chilocco project were not aware of a possible connection to the Church of Scientology.  All they’ve been told is that it is a “private corporation.”

Pawnee office of the Bureau of Indian Affairs said they were not aware of the connection, and were very “surprised” be- cause the “state” and the “governor’s office” were involved in getting Narconon to come to Chilocco.

Herald Journal Publisher April 27, 1989

Narconon Arrowhead, is finally being investigated.  Unfortunately it has taken the deaths of four young people, three of them in quick succession to put this facility in the spotlight.

July 25, 2012

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — After three deaths in nine months at an eastern Oklahoma drug rehab center with ties to the Church of Scientology, the local sheriff confirmed Wednesday that he has launched an investigation. link

The latest death happened just days ago, Stacy Murphy, age 20, was reported to have been found dead at the facility on July 19, 2012 ‘Somethings terribly wrong there’, says the father of Stacy Murphy.

Hillary Holten, 21 of Carrollton, Texas, died April 11; Gabriel Graves, 32, of Claremore, died Oct. 26.  . . .Kaysie Dianne Werninck, 28, died March 3, 2009, at a Eufaula hospital after she was transferred from the center.Read more: http://newsok.com/narconon-inquiry-in-oklahoma-expands/article/3695615#ixzz21nJQIgOh

When Regina Ramsey decided that she wanted to leave after Stacy Murphy’s death, she required the assistance of the Sheriff to do so.

FBI and OSBI Investigates OK County Sheriff’s Department

Fox 25 OKC reported Wed. night that Oklahoma County jail inmates were put to work making signs for Sheriff Whetsel’s re-election campaign.

OK County Sheriff Admits Inmate Labor Used in Re-Election Campaign

Prisoners were involved in the work that involved  hauling rebar then cutting and painting the metal for the Sheriffs political signs.  Using county property and inmate labor for personal or political work is a violation of Oklahoma law.

According to Fox 25, the FBI and OSBI is now investigating.

Three Dead at Narconon: Sunshine Begins to Fall on Scientology Based Oklahoma Treatment Center

June 5, 2011

My good friend, Colin Henderson, has been telling me about his experience at Narconon and his fears for the safety of others for years now.

(You can listen to his interview from Dec. 10, 2010 on AxXiom For Liberty radio here)

He has also been asking  Oklahoma State officials to look into Narconon to no avail.  Will the deaths of three  under the care of this facility bring some needed attention to Narconon?

Left to right Gabriel Graves, Hillary Holten, and Kaysie Werninick

Colin went to Narconon for addiction treatment and was denied his needed blood pressure medication and instead was treated to Scientology course work.  Colin had specifically asked Narconon staff before he decided to use their treatment  if they were connected to L. Ron Hubbard’s Scientology religion and was told that they were not and that Narconon was an entirely secular program.

Kudos to Fox 25 who  is covering this story.  Follow the links to watch the news videos.

Trial of ex-Okla. senator, 2 co-defendants starts

Published Feb 11, 2012

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The former leader of the Oklahoma Senate is scheduled go on trial Monday on federal charges that he accepted more than $400,000 in illegal payments from three companies that sought his influence.

Former Sen. Mike Morgan, D-Stillwater, was one of the most powerful people in state government while he served as president pro tem or co-president pro tem of the Senate from March 2005 until he left office in November 2008.

Beginning Monday, federal prosecutors will air allegations before a 12-member jury that Morgan conspired with a lobbyist and an attorney to use his leadership role to steer bills on behalf of two of the companies he allegedly received payments from.

Morgan, 56, lobbyist William Skeith, 53, of Edmond, and attorney N. Martin Stringer, 71, of Oklahoma City, are charged with conspiracy, extortion and mail fraud. Morgan also faces a bribery charge.

They have all pleaded not guilty.

Fusion Center documents label OKC Bombing investigators as terrorists

Nov. 28, 2011

Are our police forces and Homeland Security apparatus designed to protect us or are they there to protect the government.

I think it is fair to say that no longer are our forces being utilized to defend the life and liberty of Americans.  Now these forces serve to protect the government from the people.  There is a term for this type of policing.  It’s called “High Policing”and the results of this mentality is completely transforming our society into something very ugly and unrecognizable.

High Policing in the Security Control Society

The following article by Andrew Griffin of the Red Dirt Report is about listing those who dare question the government or attempt to find out for themselves what the true story was about an event that left nearly every American feeling like they had the wind knocked out of them as extremists to be watched should disgust us all no matter what you believe about that event.

If you would like to reserve your right to question, to research for yourself the facts, draw your own conclusions and challenge your government, you should care about this story.

This is just one of many examples of law abiding people being intimidated by the post 911 surveillance state. The fact is that we all must always guard jealously our right and ability to question our government if we wish to keep it.

Fusion Center documents label OKC Bombing investigators as terrorists

Red Dirt Report, editor

OKLAHOMA CITY – Ten years after 9/11 and 16 years after the Oklahoma City bombing, it appears the federal government continues to view some Americans who embrace their First Amendment rights – press and speech, primarily – as a danger to the State, and as a result they are listing certain investigative websites as extremist and a terroristic threat to the “homeland.”
